Twitter Blues: PA Celebs Lose Verification Checkmark — But Not Taylor Swift

Celebrities on Twitter: They are now just like us.

Taylor Swift is keeping her blue checkmark on Twitter.

Twitter began its removal of blue verification checkmarks on Thursday, April 20, for those who did not pay for the company's new Twitter Blue subscription service.

Kevin Hart, Joe Manganiello, Kevin Bacon, and Miles Teller all had their blue checkmark dropped.

Taylor Swift, on the other hand, appears to have subscribed as her blue checkmark remains in tact.

Critics fear this could lead to imposter accounts and misinformation spreading while Twitter owner Elon Musk believes it will lead to a more democratic system on the site.
